Club Update Dec 21

Hi All

As people will be aware, the club remains closed at the moment due to us not having access to the venue at Pens Meadow School. Ive been in contact with the school who are reviewing the situation each month. As indicated previously, the school will be extra cautious with opening the venue in contract to other schools in their area. As yet, we have no indication of when the facility will be back available however I think the new year is a more realistic target based on the conversations I have had to date. We will communicate more on this as and when information is available in January.

Local League Update:

A meeting was held by the Dudley League committee who have decided to postpone starting the league back until Bromley is back open. A decision was also made to conclude the 2019-2020 cup fixtures to allow the season to come to a proper conclusion. It was agreed that the league standings would not significantly change should the remaining fixtures played out however concluding the cup fixtures was desirable for all clubs. Cup fixtures are currently being played out at neutral venues with expenses being covered by the league. I think this is a great gesture from the league who will also be holding their AGM / presentation evening at a suitable future date (assume early 2022).

Wolverhampton and Kidderminster leagues have ended their 2019/20 leagues and made decisions to progress new seasons from 2021-22. Both leagues are back running with Bromley teams currently playing from alternative venues.

@@@Note to Team Captains@@@

As all leagues have effectively concluded their 2019-20 seasons, we would like to ask team captains to start collecting fees from their teams so we can conclude our accounting for these seasons. Team Captains can use the following websites to calculate fees owed by each player(use player averages to work out league fixtures played):

Dudley:

Kidderminster:

Wolverhampton:

Note: games played in cup games are not included on all league websites although the fixtures are listed. Please reach out to your teams to determine who played in league fixtures to try and identify who played cup games if no records are contained.

Fees:

Player Registration: £5 per player per team

Match Fees: £3.50 per player per game (home or away)

If team captains can collect monies owed, we can then arrange a cheque, cash payment or bank transfer as appropriate per team.

Further communications around club matters will be sent in the new year when further information is available. Wishing everyone and their families a Merry Christmas and all the best for 2022.

Mark
