Singles League

Starting May 2024, our summer singles league is back and better than ever! Fixtures will be played every Wednesday night from 7pm in a fun, friendly and commitment free basis. We know over the summer people have different commitments, making our summer league the perfect package for table tennis fans. We aim to get every player 5 x best of 3 sets against similar standard players. Depending on results, players will progress up or down table numbers whilst accumulating points based on attendance and performance. At the conclusion of the season, prizes will be given out to the winners of various categories as per below:

How it works...

The rules of singles league are simple! Participate, Socialise, Enjoy!

Aligned to this, we do have some structured rules we apply to ensure the fixtures run smoothly and on time:

​

  • Matches commence at 7:30pm sharp. Players arriving late run the risk of forfeiting games however, we do try to accomodate where possible.

  • Match balls provided by the club should be used to ensure consistency and fairness. 

  • Players should be prepared to play their match as soon as the match table is available. The is should be minimal knocking before matches (1-2 mins max)

  • All matches are best of 3 ends unless otherwise advised by a league admin  

  • Players are required to umpire matches as per the match cards

  • All participating players should hold a Table Tennis England 'Club Play' Membership at a minimum (this is free and simply applied for through table tennis england website)

  • League admins will endeavour to get players a minimum of 4 matches a night.

How do I enter?

All players wishing to participate in Singles league need to sign up online before the event.  Entry will close at 12noon on the day of the event to allow league admins suitable time to prepare match cards for the evenings fixtures.  Early sign up is always recommended to avoid disappointment as we do have a limited number of spaces available.

Sign up is available through the bookings page on the website and can also be accessed through the WIX Spaces app (Apple / Android) for people with smart phones.  Our site ID code is 29KURC
